Easter Bunny Hop and Easter Bone Contest. April 2009
Five Dog treats will be hidden in a sectioned off area of
our play yard and contestants will have 1 minute to get
and eat as many as they can. Fastest time wins the

Bring in your pet in patriotic clothing or a photo of your
pet, and we'll take a picture and place it in our lobby.
Our clients will vote on:
1) Most Patriotic Dog
2) Liberty Cats
3) American Pocket Pets
(Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Ferrets, etc)
4) Republic Eagles - Avians and Lizards
Each winner will receive a prize,
and the winners will be profiled on our Pet Board at
Pampered Pets for one month.
Come to participate or just to vote! Winners must come in
costume to pick up their awards on July 3rd or July 5th

or CSU! Bring in your animal showing your favorite
school's colors! Awards will be given for Best Georgia
Bulldog, Auburn Tiger or Bama tide!
Even Better, the School with the most entries will have
their Banner in our Lobby for a full month! Win the
Lobby for your team as Football Season starts.

Dachshund Race Results
This October 18th, 2008, Benning Animal Hospital and Fort Benning Animal
Clinic did something really special. We had our very first Dachshund race.
"Your Dachshund" and Toy Breeds under 10 pounds were cordially invited to
participate in our "October Fest" 1st Annual Dachshund Races. We had over
150 people attend, and over 70 dogs! We gave out free hot dogs from Cook's
Hotdogs, drinks, chips, candy and other foods courtesy of Webster
Veterinary Supplies. We gave out chapstick, handsanitizers, Puppy Manuals,
and other goodies, while enjoying a beautiful sunny day!
There were fantastic demonstrations of dog obedience by Jerry Barnes,
laser therapy demonstrations, Novartis animal rehab movies, Purina Dog
Food and weight loss demos, Arthritis and your pet sessions, and many
other educational events. During National Pet Wellness Month, we had lots
of people learn how to improve their pets lives, and theirs as well. Novartis
provided large trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, while Webster donated
6 months of flea control for 2nd place winners. Thank you all for
participating and contributing! The Cook's Hotdogs were delicious, and the
shade from the tents from Vance Memorial Chapel was welcome on our
sunny day. Finally thanks to Silver Run Baptist Church for loaning us the
chairs and tables for the events.
The main events were :

Winner, "Blackjack" the Corgi (Prize - Free Vet exam)
2nd place, Singing Dachshund
3rd place, Rolling Spaniel.
Toy Breeds (#10 lbs and under)
Winner - Leila (3.0 seconds), Chihuahua ($100 and trophy)
2nd Place - Camille (6 mos Flea Control)
3rd Place- Bella (Trophy)
4th (Tie) Delilah/Tina
